Please, introduce yourself…

I’m Caity. Most people don’t even realize that my full name is actually Caitlin. I guess I ‘look like a Caity.’ I’m 21. I’m currently a full-time student at Indiana University – Kokomo. I also work full-time at Family Video. I have a one bedroom apartment in town, and I live in the same building as my cousin Tara (Weeze) and our friend Jess. I love living on my own and taking care of myself. I drive a dark blue ’99 Saturn.

…and do you have any life experience?

My divorce was finalized in August of 2009. I am an ex Army wife. My blog is chock-full of that drama. Long story short: I was happy, he [apparently] wasn’t; he abruptly left me [figuratively and literally left me in another state] one Sunday morning and started dating my ex friend’s seventeen-year-old, junior in high school, younger sister a week later. They’re engaged now. I can finally say I’m over all that, but I’m still not sure I’m ready for a relationship.

I’ve attended three different colleges in the three semesters that I’ve been a student. I’ve moved five times since I turned 19. I’ve been in love. I’ve lived near/on an Army post. I was married and divorced before I turned 21. I’ve lived in a state where the only people I knew were my ex-husband and other soldiers and their wives. But I made some amazing friends while I was there. I own two vehicles [completely paid off]. My ex may have ruined my credit, but I’m finding my way around that. I’m still standing.

I see. How about some random facts about yourself, so we won’t be left guessing?

I drink 2% milk. I am a very clumsy person, and I have many bruises and scars to show for it. I love photography, and I almost cried when the only lens I have for my Canon Rebel XS broke. I like video games more than most girls I know. I’m good with computers [I get it from my dad, the computer programmer]. I’m still friends with a few of the people that I graduated high school with. I’m self-conscious to the nth degree, but I hide it as well as I can. I’m more like my dad than my mom. I don’t look like either of my parents more than the other. I quote movies a lot. I love to drive fast with the windows down and music blaring. I always sing along to the radio.
